My fitness journey truly began after having my second son. I remember feeling so uncomfortable in my body and always exhausted. By his first birthday I was still in maternity pants and lacked the energy to play with my boys the way I wanted. I was tired of watching the fun, and wanted to be a part of it, so I knew things had to change. After a decade of being a gym rat, I finally came to the realization that my current rountine wasn’t working for me, and started researching the best ways to lose weight and get in shape. I took my new found knowledge and put it to the test, for years, to figure out what truly worked best. What I discovered was that what worked best for me was what I enjoyed and was able to stick with. Once I started seeing and feeling results, I wanted to challenge myself more and more and went from someone who hated working out to someone who couldn’t wait for her next workout. I was now not only keeping up with my boys, but they were getting tired before I did! I also found a nutrition approach that worked for me, and finally gave me the healthy relationship with food I was missing all my life.
My new relationship with food and working out led me to go on the become a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM and become a certified 2B mentor. I also hold specializations in Group Training, Stretching and Flexibility and TRX Suspension Training. My goal is to get others to a place of peace and happiness with food and their bodies, because when you find that, everything falls in to place.
